In general you can visit our website and may obtain a quotation and consequently you will be asked to provide certain information. This will include your contact details and sufficient information about your business such that we may validate your suitability for any insurance products we supply on behalf of insurers. We will store this data and hold it on computer or otherwise

To register you with our website and to administer it.
For the recording of your personal details and quotation requests.
For the production of any insurance policies and associated documentation.
For the recording and management of any claims made.
For assessment and analysis, e.g. marketing, customer and product analysis, to enable us to review, develop and improve our services.
We will pass your personal information on to the relevant insurers for their assessment, confirmation and recording of your quotation requests and policy and claims history. These insurers may have their own procedures and policies in place in respect of the management of your personal information.

When making on-line payments by you to us using your debit or credit card, it will be the Insurer and not RMK who hold details of your debit/credit cards for transactions processed on behalf of this website. If making payments by direct debit payment from your bank account it will be the Insurer that holds your bank account details and not RMK.
We may log your IP (Internet Protocol) address and the pages you visit on this site in order to facilitate the running of the service and for security purposes.
Whose products do we offer -
In respect of on-line quoted and traded policies, these are sold on a non-advised basis and RMK Insurance Consultants Ltd. only uses one specialist insurer for each type of insurance. In these instances, RMK Insurance Consultants Ltd. make no personal recommendation.
For all other insurance sales, RMK Insurance Consultants Ltd. offer products selected from a range of insurers for all types of general insurance products and therefore our service is based on a fair analysis of the market.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)? –
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. The scheme covers 100% for compulsory insurances such as motor third party and employers liability and 90% of other general insurance, without any upper limit. Further information about compensation scheme arrangements is available from the FSCS at: http://www.fscs.org.uk/ or by telephone on 020 7892 7300.
Terms of business: - Protecting your Money – To provide security for client money that we are authorised to hold on their behalf, it is held in a properly designated client bank account with an approved UK clearing bank. The money is held under a non-statutory trust set up in accordance with FSA requirements and enables us to provide credit to customers. No interest is payable to customers on any client money held by us.
What to do if you have a complaint –
It is our intention to provide a high level of service at all times. If, however, you have reason to make a complaint about our service you should contact the Managing Director in the first instance. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 5 business days. Within four weeks you will receive either a final response or an explanation of why the complaint is not yet resolved plus an indication of when a final response will be provided. Within eight weeks you will receive a final response or, if this is not possible, a reason for the delay plus an indication of when a final response will be provided. If compensation or redress is felt to be appropriate details of this will be provided. If it is felt that your complaint is not justified you will be provided with full reasons for this decision. After eight weeks, if you are not satisfied with the delay you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. You can also refer to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you cannot settle your complaint with us. The Financial Ombudsman Service is only available to retail clients and those commercial clients with a turnover less than £1,000,000.
